@moxypony mixing up a whole lot of #ooc ( out of character ) with #rp ( roleplay ) becouse someone has yet to tell me exactly how it works, or how/when I should use them and I lack the common sense to figure it out on my own mostly :P ( luckily for me that will be an easy question in 13 days :) RP.rainbowdash.net will be up then. how do you do ?

#ooc On the subject on !rp i'm afraid I may have to quit for the moment...:< Real life and IRL bros are stopping me being able to actuslly get involved in the going-ons without being intrusive. #feelsbadpony Exams start on May 13th too and I need 2 As and a C for entry into the course I want in, software development. Hate when real life pushes you around.

@administrator #ooc While I, for one, like the idea of a new board for !rp, I'd like to know what that would mean for posters such as me. While I am not among those who !rp every day, I feel my posts often walk the line between chatter and roleplay.

@retl I've mentioned the issue with using !rp before. Yes all the rp could be found in the rp group, but that wouldn't take it off the front page. (unless new code was introduced)

@puzzlemint @administrator @nutterguy Having looked at the source for StatusNet, I can tell you that coding up separate timelines for RP and not-RP would be a pain and a half, and it'd be much more functional to either have two statusnet installs and use Ostatus to follow RP on the second install (no additional coding), or have a mandatory !rp tag for RP (which kinda breaks immersion for RPers, but allows them to easily see all of the RP in a birds-eye view by checking the group posts.)

@starshine I understand where you're coming from. And if it doesn't work then I've wasted 5 seconds of my life making a group. But on the flipside, even the !rp tag wouldn't filter the rp off the front page It would just mean you could filter the out the chatter if you're looking at the rp group.

@nutterguy hm, I think that's the wrong way to go, then it would basically be saying "this is just a role play site" - it'd be better for roleplay stuff to be tagged with !rp I think
