@starlightbolt how right you are that this is all a doleing match between the US's ego and their opinion of what is, and isn't, terrorism. Now don't get me wrong, I am not in favour of terrorism but you have to understand that the very definition of terrorism is subjective. ( although, yes, 9-11 was a terorist act, possibly even the people who did that fully realized that ). Just because Osama died I see a rise in troop morale. Even more if it actually turns out to be Osama, and if not, expect the US to push a "no its not" into a "we are unable to determine" regarding whether it's Osama. Face it, US troop morale is low. and now that Osama might or might not be dead, some of the extremists might not be happy. The result ? more bloodshed. Nothing has changed for the long run.
