I realize I'm nit-picking the new episode, but it's because I freaking love some of the little touches. A> Foreground balloons in the intro shot of SC have no highlights. I guess that kinda makes sense, depending on the lighting. But B> The orange sausage-shaped balloon in one of the BG clusters ALSO lacks highlights, which just looks weird when every balloon around it has them. C> While it makes sense for Gummy to bounce on a balloon, if all of the balloons visible are floating, then how come the one Rarity plays with falls back down for her to bat away? Did she blow that up by mouth out-of-view? If so, that would make this show one of the few cartoon exceptions to the all-balloons-have-helium trope! Also did anyone else find it amusing that none of the balloons popped throughout the episode? If you look back at Griffon the Brush Off, Call of the Cutie, and Dragonshy, it seems like only "bad" characters are capable of popping balloons. But what about Pinkie in the intro? #overthinking
