    @moonprincess To me it seemed like the rainboom just happened to be what helped them figure it out. Fluttershy had already found the animals she would come to love, Twilight was already obsessed with magic, Pinkie would have found a smile eventually, And rarity wouldn't have just let that rock go i think. If a loud noise was enough, she would have cracked it eventually.
