@chistery !writeponies I read that one back when EQD posted all the contest entries. I thought it was really good personally, no grammatical errors I saw, and great pacing. The ending was kind of a downer though. It would be great if you wrote a sequel with more happiness involved. I'd go into more depth, but wouldn't want to spoil it further for those who've yet to read it.

@l0x0r I think I'll have to revisit it later; I'm really hoping to keep this a oneshot fic. I'm glad you liked the pacing; I was super-worried it was uneven.
