    Holy crap, if you pay attention to Twilight's visual-thinking the Ticket Master, it basically implies that she would have given up her tickets to Applejack and Fluttershy if she were stuck with only the two tickets. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJDlY1n9bmk&t=1m ) I like to think she came from this conclusion logically, seeing as Fluttershy's learning might lead to more efficient caretaking of the wildlife and other creatures of Ponyville, and Applejack would not only be feeding ponies at the party, but investing the money in a way that would go right back into helping feed more down the line by improving their tools on the farm. #

      @retl Or Applejack's reasoning was the least selfish, and nobody but Gilda is heartless enough to make Fluttershy cry.

        @honeywing Good point! Though Rainbow Dash might accidentally make Fluttyshy cry, and then try to make up for it. Dash doesn't really seem to think things through before doing them.
