@redenchilada Possibly. Still cherrieses me off that the CnD was issued so late in the development. If it was killed quickly before any hype was built up, I wouldn't have cared as much. At least they're still making it with new characters made by Lauren Faust.

@thelastgherkin That's not what I was meaning. I interpreted what @prettypurpleprincesspublicprincesstimeline said about any game being in EVO unless it had ponies as saying that that's the reason why it's not in EVO, when in reality it was due to Hasbro's C&D. As far as I'm aware EVO didn't care that it had ponies in it, since the last thing I heard Fighting is Magic had a spot in EVO, just not as the main event.

@rarity I've been meaning to really get into fighting games for a while now. I play loads of fighting games, and vanilla SF4 is probably my most played game right now, but I'm terrible at most of them. As a spectator, I mostly only watch Evo. I watched the Street Fighter 25th anniversary tournament, though.

@rarity There are a few people that still play it, and most of them are even worse than me. When I bought it, I had only just gotten interested in fighting games, the only one I owned was MK9. I bought Vanilla because it was the cheapest fighter on Amazon at the time. I'm probably gonna buy Ultra on disc when it comes out.

@rarity People don't like to experiment in Vanilla, over half the players I've fought played Ryu. A few Zangiefs, a few Seths, but there's not much variation.
