        1. @bigponymac well then welcome to the month of may! :D

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:11:28 UTC from web
          1. @extremedash And what a welcome it is! Sitting here on RBDN, in the dark, on reserve battery power, waiting for the lights to be turned back on because tornadoes knocked out the power for large portions of the state. But you know what? You guys and ponies are helping me make it though this. I love y'all! :)

              1. @celph Oh we're safe. The storms went through Wednesday. We're just sitting here in the aftermath without power. Thankfully we're safe and have a generator.

                1. @bigponymac I think I heard about that? It's good your safe though.

                  1. @carcinopony Thanks man. Now I'm just trying to get my fill of ponies everyday while waiting for the power to come back on. It's the only thing keeping me sane right now. lol

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:26:39 UTC from web
                    1. @bigponymac It's good to hear that your safe I was lucky and only lost power for a day had a couple broken windows though which wasn't fun to clean up

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:28:25 UTC from web
                      1. @extremedash Thanks man. I'm goin' on 4 days without power. It's been rough, but luckily I still have a home.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:35:13 UTC from web
                        1. @bigponymac Yah I know what you mean like 4 people were killed one county over from me so I don't have too much to complain about and you sound like you got it worse than me so I was definitely im glad I was so lucky

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:42:16 UTC from web
                          1. @extremedash I'm glad you made it out alright. We didn't get it to bad. It could have been a lot worse if the tornado tracked a little bit to the south. If it did, I wouldn't be here right now. If you don't mind me asking, where do you live? A general area is fine. I'm in North AL in Cullman Co.

                              1. @extremedash So y'all got hit with our leftovers? I can't believe those storms went that long without losing energy.

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:02:52 UTC from web
                                1. @bigponymac Yah it's crazy I have been through a lot of tornados but nothing like those it was pretty crazy

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:04:30 UTC from web
                                  1. @extremedash Very crazy. I just remember them saying on the weather that day that every supercell was producing a tornado. And I was like "Whaaaa..." And of course three came through my county. Dodged three bullets.

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:11:50 UTC from web

                      1. @carcinopony I know! I can't go a day without some kind of pony to satiate me. Ponies. They're one hell of a drug. lol

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:36:56 UTC from web
                        1. @bigponymac the best drug.

                          1. @carcinopony Definitely.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:39:08 UTC from web
                            1. @bigponymac it makes it awkward when all the druggies come over when I say I have "the good stuff"

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:40:52 UTC from StatusNet Android
                              1. @carcinopony XD

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:47:10 UTC from web
                2. @bigponymac So glad to hear you're alright; and that the area is in the process of rebuilding.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:35:40 UTC from web
                  1. @haganbmj Thanks man. Yeah, the South's rebuilding. Slowly but surely.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:38:46 UTC from web
                    1. @bigponymac Slowly but surely, that's the way. Was there any severe damage in your area?

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:40:12 UTC from web
                      1. @haganbmj My county got hit pretty hard, but the community that I live in didn't have that much damage. There were a few communities close by that were devistated by that tornado that I witnessed. Most of the damage happened in Mid-Alabama because those tornadoes hit more heavily populated areas.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:46:34 UTC from web
                        1. @bigponymac Alright, that's good to hear at least that your particular county was alright. Based on the news though, there was a lot of damage elsewhere.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:48:03 UTC from web
                          1. @haganbmj Oh there was massive damage down in Tuscaloosa, AL and in parts of Birmingham. I watched those as they happened on the news. They caught them with their tower cams. It was unreal.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:52:39 UTC from web
                            1. @bigponymac Yeah - just some of the coverage I saw was really dramatic.

Sunday, 01-May-11 05:55:17 UTC from web
                              1. @haganbmj Yeah it was. I'm just glad it's over and we can start cleaning up. Hopefully we can regain our sense on normalcy before too long.

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:05:01 UTC from web
                                1. @bigponymac Before too long, yep - Do you know how much longer it will be before you can regain power?

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:11:15 UTC from web
                                  1. @haganbmj I've heard Tuesday at the latest but then I heard that some parts wouldn't regain power for weeks. Our main power source comes from the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) and six of their main lines got destroyed and there's no telling how long that will take them to get those up and running. I think they have gotten some functioning since Wednesday, but not the ones feeding us power.

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:16:25 UTC from web
                                    1. @bigponymac Ah - so it may indeed be weeks for you to regain power. Well, I hope it's quicker than that - but at least you have a generator for some functions I suppose :/

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:29:23 UTC from web
                                      1. @haganbmj Hopefully. We use it for mainly fridge, computer, and internet. And ponies. I use it for ponies. lol

Sunday, 01-May-11 06:32:51 UTC from web
