Y'know what just occurred to me, most (all?) of the episodes for the first season were already written by the time any of us got to the show, so the community feedback hasn't really affected the content of the show yet apart from sticking in some tiny last-minute stuff like Derpy. I bet season 2 is going to make our heads explode with awesome.

@starshine Absolutely. I CANNOT WAIT for season 2. Luna confirmed, overarching plot confirmed, more fan references? HELLZ TO THE YEAH. Even after the whole summer of preparation, I don't know if my body will be ready.

@scribus yeah, I remember seeing a Lauren Faust DA post about it. She said that she couldn't really reveal any details, but that the plot would be much more coherent/overarching.
