    # Grrrr!!!! My stupid pointe shoes are almost dead and I've only had them for 3 months!!! >:( I was hopeing they'd last at least 'till the Spring Concert but I don't see that happenin'. Y MUST THEY BE SO EXPENSIVE!!???

            @carcinopony There like ballet shoes. Except they have some sort of cement/wood/plastic in the toe so that you can balence on the tip of your toe. When they "die", that means that your feet are so strong that they have worn the shoes down so much that there is practilcally no support.
