  1. # Help a pony out? I want to get a cellphone for the first time soon and I want a smartphone that would allow me to connect to this site and all, but I need to find a cheap plan. Anybody know any good Android-type phones with cheap data plans that you can recommend?

    1. @fluttershy How do you feel about pay-as-you-go plans? If you don't use it much, it could go well.

      1. @scribus # I wouldn't suggest that. My friend used to ignore social networks before he got his android. Now he's a twitter and facebook fiend.

        1. @lovejoy Good point. I never wanted texting before, now I'm all net-connected on my Android. #

      2. @scribus # Considering I'm mostly using my computer when I'm at home, a pay-as-I-go plan might work out well. What would you suggest?

        1. @fluttershy Sorry for the delay, I missed your reply before I went to bed. I haven't used a prepaid in about 10 years, so I'm afraid I have no idea which ones are decent.

    2. @fluttershy # a good friend of mine uses Verizon because he could get unlimited Texting and internet as part of his plan. It's a little bit more expensive but, with how much he uses the heck out of it, it's really worth it, or at least, he tells me it is. They also tend to have a more reliable network than most other carriers, which he's actually proven to me several times when compared to other friend's phone calls.
