@celestia Also: produced by a lot of the same people who did Powerpuff Girls, which was also a great show that appealed to a huge audience. Great interaction between writers and fans (see for example Lauren Faust's DA, and the various posts on /co/ and ponychan from various staff members; the deliberate inclusion of Derpy Hooves into the show after the initial fan interest in the character)

@onixus yea. I know, even that guide says not to take it as some sort of absolute truth. :) but let's face it, most of us here watched the episodes in order, and that clearly worked REALLY WELL.

@celestia I always say, start at the beginning. It's got some good jokes, a bit of serious to it, a minimum of the sugary-cute stuff that seems to turn people off, it introduces the characters pretty well, and ends with a cliffhanger that compels you to watch the second part. :)

@celestia #ooc And we also watch it because we enjoy it. We don't care what the rest of the unwashed masses of sheep think. We watch the show because we are individuals who don't care if we're seen as "gay" or "kiddy", because those are descriptions given to us by fools who haven't even bothered to give the show a chance.
